Tuna Fillets in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil La Góndola
Striped or skipjack tuna, as it is commonly known, is a blue fish of small of small size when compared to other tuna species, since most have until 80cm and weigh between 8 and 10Kg. This species can be found in tropical, subtropical and temperate areas of all oceans and are distinguished by the dark color of the back and silver in the inferior sides and belly.
The fishing is done according to the traditional methods of purse seine and pole and line, respecting the marine environment.
The La Góndola tuna fillets in organic olive oil are made from the selection of the best fish, which is cut in fillets and manually canned, one by one, to preserve all its taste and properties. It is just added the organic olive oil to guarantee its conservation and enhance its taste.
Each can was subjected to a sterilization process at 118ºC which removes any microorganism that may cause the decay and bad conservation of the product.
It is presented in the individual 120g weight can format.
Conservation and harmonization
La Góndola cans do not need refrigeration, being possible to store them in a cool, dry place. They’re ready to consume, without the necessity for any preparation. In case the can is opened and not consumed in its entirety, it is recommended to take the content out and storing it in the cold for a maximum of 48 hours.
We recommend the consumption at room temperature, directly from the can, accompanied by toasted bread and mixed salad on the side.
