Tuna Fillets in Spiced Olive Oil Minerva

Matéria prima


Striped or skipjack tuna, as it is commonly known (Thunnus albacares) is a small-sized blue fish when compared to other tuna species, since more measure up to 80cm and weigh between 8 and 10 Kg. This species is found in the tropical, subtropical and temperate areas of all oceans and distinguish themselves by the dark color of their back and silver in their inferior sides and belly.

The fishing is done according to the traditional purse seine and pole and line fishing, respecting the marine environment.

Can Preparation


To make the tuna fillets with piri-piri, the highest quality loins are selected and canned by hand for a perfect presentation. To this product, it is added the olive oil with fresh piri-piri which gives it a spicy touch with an intense flavor.

The cans are sterilized at a temperature of 118 ºC, thus guaranteeing the safety and longevity of this preserve.

Conservation and harmonization


Product ready for consumption and it is recommended to do so on the opening day. In case it’s not, we recommend to take it out of the can and keep it under refrigeration for a maximum of 48 hours. Closed, this product does not needto be in the fridge and it must be kept in a dry place.

It is recommended to be consumed at room temperature, taking advantage  of the olive oil, with fresh or toasted bread accompanied by a salad.
